FESTIVAL
There are five festival concerts this year, as listed above.

Players in the Dome concerts on Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 April will rehearse at the Dome from 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm on the day of their concert. This rehearsal is essential for a successful concert. The players should return to the Dome by 6.30 pm for their concert, which will begin at 7.00 pm. Both concerts will end by approximately 9.00 pm.

Full details of all the concerts will be given later, but meanwhile please make a note in your diary of the concert dates and rehearsal times.

On Saturday 8 April there will be no normal Music Centre classes, rehearsals or lessons.

Tickets
Tickets for all festival concerts will be on sale from Saturday 11 March, price £3.00 and £1.00.

Parents who have children involved in more than one concert may, after purchasing tickets for one concert, obtain tickets for additional concerts at no extra charge.

Concert clothes
Please would players wear white shirts/blouses and dark trousers/skirts at all the concerts.

Names on instrument cases
Please would you label your child's instrument case very clearly. As many cases look very similar, it is quite easy to take the wrong one home by mistake.

Spike protectors
Cellists and double bass players must use their spike protectors at the Dome to avoid damaging the sports hall floor.

SWIMMING
As the swimming event at the Dome last year was so successful, we have again booked the pool for our exclusive use on Saturday 6 May from 7.00 pm to 9.00 pm. There will be full supervision by Dome staff and some Music Centre staff will also be in attendance.

If your child would like to join in the fun at the Music Centre Swim, please complete the slip at the end of the Newsletter and return it as soon as possible to the WAMC office or to your child's teacher with £1.00 to cover the cost.

Numbers are limited. Please return your form promptly if you wish to be sure of a place. As the Easter holiday is at the end of April, all slips and monies must be collected well in advance.

PHOTOGRAPHS
The final date for purchasing and/or ordering WAMC group photographs is Saturday 12 February. After that date any unsold photographs will be returned to the supplier together with any orders for additional photographs.
