MILLENNIUM FESTIVAL CONCERTS
The five concerts in this year's Millennium Festival, given by all the Music Centre«s bands, orchestras and guitar groups, were again of a very high standard and were extremely well supported by our parents and friends.

The two concerts at the Dome were especially exciting as they enabled our bands and orchestras to experience the pleasure of massed playing. Congratulations to all the performers and warm thanks to parents for their support.

SWIMMING
Our Music Centre swim at the Dome was again a great success. Our apologies to those who were too late with their applications - be prompt next year! We are only able to take 300 swimmers.

ADULT CLASSES
New classes will begin in September and we offer tuition on all instruments. We already have would-be beginners on the violin, cello, saxophone and flute and would particularly welcome more beginners so that classes on these instruments can make a prompt start in the autumn.

There may also be some vacancies in our current classes, for violin, viola, cello, flute, clarinet, trumpet and guitar. Both beginners and experienced players will be welcomed. For details, please contact the WAMC office (01302 323556).

ADULT INSTRUMENTAL WORKSHOP
On Sunday 14 May we held our first adult instrumental workshop for adult pupils who are studying at the Music Centre. There were 38 players, including some younger family members and supporting staff. Roy Jones conducted, and ably welded together our many disparate talents to make a most enjoyable orchestral playing day. It ended with a very informal concert.

WEBSITE
The Music Centre now has its own website which has been set up by our webmaster, Kevin Edwards. If you are able to, please visit us at:
