Festival concerts
The 13 concerts in this year's Festival, given by all the Music Centre's bands, orchestras, guitar groups and other ensembles, were again of a very high standard and were extremely well supported by our parents and friends.

Congratulations to all the performers and warm thanks to parents for their support.

Swimming
Our Music Centre swim at the Dome was again a great success. Our apologies to those who were too late with their applications. We were only able to take 300 swimmers.

Adult classes
New classes will begin in September and we offer tuition on all instruments. There may be some vacancies in our current classes, for violin, viola, cello, flute and clarinet. Both beginners and experienced players will be welcomed. For details, please contact the WAMC office (01302 734810).

Music Centre redecoration
I am sure you will have noticed that many of the rooms at the Music Centre have been redecorated, making the environment much more pleasant for staff and students. It is hoped to continue with this during the next school year.

Half term Holiday
The Music Centre closes on Friday 25 May. There will be no orchestras, bands, guitar groups or theory classes on Saturday 26 May. However, keyboard, school and adult lessons will be as normal on this Saturday.

The Centre will re-open on Monday 4 June.

Summer Holiday
The Music Centre closes on Friday 20 July. There is no Music Centre on Saturday 21 July.

The Music Centre opens again on Tuesday 4 September for normal classes.

We hope you will all have a very happy summer holiday.
