Concert clothes: dark trousers/skirts, white shirts/blouses. Please would band and orchestra players be there 15 minutes before their concert. A collection will be taken at the end of each concert for general Music Centre funds. There will be no tickets for the concerts.

After their concerts, there will be no rehearsals for the Saturday Afternoon and Saturday Symphony Orchestras on 29 June, 6 and 13 July, for bands on Saturday 13 July, guitar groups on Wednesday 17 July, or recorder groups and Appleby Singers on Thursday 18 July.

END OF TERM CONCERTS I am pleased to let you know that our concerts before the Easter holiday raised £2200, which will be shared between the Music Centre and the new Performance venue in Doncaster. Your generosity is very much appreciated.

Adult classes New classes will begin in September and we offer tuition on all instruments. There may be some vacancies in our current classes, for violin, viola, cello, flute, clarinet, keyboard and guitar. Both beginners and experienced players will be welcomed. Workshops
There will be a series of workshops at the end of this term. Full details may be obtained from the WAMC office (01302 734810).  

Violin Workshop and Masterclass - 25 June
We are delighted to be holding a special Violin Workshop and Masterclass for advanced violinists at Comprehensive schools in the Doncaster area. Richard Howarth, an outstanding professional violinist, will lead the workshop. He is the leader of the Manchester Camerata (an ex-leader of the Beechfield Youth Orchestra).  

Violinists who are between Grade 6 to Grade 8+ standard and would like to take part should speak to their teachers and fill in an application form, which is available from the Music Centre office.  

String Orchestra Workshop 15/16 June
We are pleased to invite advanced players, both adults and students, to take part in a workshop conducted by John Pearson. The programme will include a selection from works by Handel, Puccini, Grieg. There will be an informal concert at 3.30pm on 16 June in the WAMC Hall.  

Half term Holiday
The Music Centre closes on Friday 31 May. There will be no orchestras, bands, guitar groups or theory classes on Saturday 1 June. However, keyboard, and other lessons will take place as normal.  

The Centre will re-open on Monday 10 June.  

Summer Holiday
The Music Centre closes on Friday 19 July. There is no Music Centre on Saturday 20 July.  

The Music Centre opens again on Tuesday 3 September for normal classes.  

We hope you will all have a very happy summer holiday.
