Prog FESTIVAL 2003

LATEST NEWS AND PICTURES

The William Appleby Music Centre Festival dates back to 1972. It is the most important event in the Music Centre's calendar, being in effect a shop window for the ensemble tuition the Music Centre offers its pupils, who are from 97 different schools in the Doncaster area.

The festival offers parents the chance to see and hear the results of the work their children have been doing at the Centre throughout the year. it also shows the progressive nature of the work undertaken as the young players graduate through the various ensembles, the culmination of this process being demonstrated by the Beechfield Youth Orchestra, The Doncaster Schools Symphonic Band and the Vermuyden Concert Band.

The following pictures were taken at the concerts between Saturday 29th March and Sunday 6th April. Although it is impossible to give a true reflection of the scale and atmosphere, you might just be able to pick out one or two familiar faces.
